With this in mind, Brunton Shaw UK has recently participated in the launch of North Notts College’s ‘Employers Academy’.
Together with our sister company Usha Martin Italia, we are continuously developing new and innovative ways to make our products more sustainable.
Over the years Brunton Shaw UK has provided young people with the opportunity to gain real work experience while attending college as part of an apprenticeship programme.
As part of our ‘Sister Act’ collection, we aim to showcase the combined capabilities of the Usha Martin Group Companies.
In late 2019, Brunton Shaw UK manufactured and supplied a 102mm OCEANMAX35 to an esteemed European customer.

During August, the heaviest compacted wire rope ever produced by Brunton Shaw UK was manufactured at the new Worksop facility. The rope was an OCEANMAX35, Ø121mm, 35x7 class, Galvanised compacted rope with a gross weight of over 300 Tonnes, which is also the heaviest rope ever produced in the United Kingdom. The rope is the first of a number of ropes that are being produced for an American customer who will utilise them on a deep water project in the Gulf of Mexico.

The company recently completed the manufacture, delivery and installation of our first OCEANMAX reel in excess of 200 tonnes.
This is the first reel of a contract for Jumbo Shipping in Holland, and each reel carries a rope in excess of 14,000 metres long!
