By participating in such programmes we have the ability to assist talented young people reach their potential. Recently the facility celebrated one of our newly qualified apprentices Szymon, when he won Advanced Apprenticeship of the Year 2021.
Szymon started his apprenticeship here at Brunton Shaw UK’s Engineering Department in 2016 and after 4 years of hard work, during November 2020 Szymon successfully completed his apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering. The willingness to learn and dedication shown throughout these 4 years had not gone unnoticed as one of Szymon’s college lecturers nominated his efforts for Advanced Apprenticeship of the Year 2021.
Szymon who is now one of our Mechanical Assistant’s, was presented with his award and certificate by a college representative. We wish him all the best in the future and congratulate him on such an accomplishment!!
“Szymon started in the engineering department at Brunton Shaw as 16 year old school leaver knowing nothing about engineering and who struggled with the English language. He has worked hard over the last 4 years with help from his colleagues to master both English and engineering at the same time and this award is a fitting reward for all his hard work.“Szymon started in the engineering department at Brunton Shaw as 16 year old school leaver knowing nothing about engineering and who struggled with the English language. “It is rare to find a student with the level of focus and determination to succeed that Szymon has shown. That coupled with the fact that he’s a smashing lad who is very polite, hardworking and a credit to his family. I hope that he gets some recognition for his efforts by winning an award.”“It is rare to find a student with the level of focus and determination to succeed that Szymon has shown.
