During August, the heaviest compacted wire rope ever produced by Brunton Shaw UK was manufactured at the new Worksop facility. The rope was an OCEANMAX35,  Ø121mm, 35x7 class, Galvanised compacted rope with a gross weight of over 300 Tonnes, which is also the heaviest rope ever produced in the United Kingdom. The rope is the first of a number of ropes that are being produced for an American customer who will utilise them on a deep water project in the Gulf of Mexico.
