Located in Worksop, we are strategically placed to supply our high-tech ropes to our global customers.  With our determination to deliver quality products backed by quality service has meant continuous investment in both plant and people.  As we look to further expand upon our opportunities we now have an exciting vacancy for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician.

Main duties will include

Working as part of the engineering team to ensure all plant and equipment is maintained in a safe and proper condition to meet the requirements of production.

To ensure mechanical preventative maintenance duties are carried out across the site.  Duties could include; attending breakdowns, carrying out overhauls on machinery, completing remedial correctives and improving the plants availability and reliability.  Ensuring planned preventative maintenance (PPM) is carried out, reducing risk of downtime.

Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities

  • Capable of effective prioritisation of tasks and personal time management.
  • Able to work unsupervised and prioritise their own time and activities.
  • Have strong analytical skills supporting fast and effective problem solving.
  • Machine tool experience.

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

  • Timed served Mechanical Engineer. You must hold mechanical qualification (i.e. City & Guilds / BTEC / NVQ Level 3).
  • A minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience within a heavy engineering manufacturing environment.
  • Good mechanical maintenance background and be competent to work on bearings, couplings, gearboxes, hydraulics, fork trucks, overhead cranes, large rotating machinery, pumps, hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Team working and flexibility with an open attitude.
  • Experience in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Experience in fabrication and machining.
  • The successful candidate should have a proven track record in these areas, be multi skilled, be flexible in working hours and must be capable of working unsupervised.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 4pm
Friday 7:30am - 1pm

  • Plus call outs
  • Plus overtime
