During August, the heaviest rope ever produced by Brunton Shaw was manufactured at the new Worksop facility.  The rope was an OCEANMAX35, Ø121mm, 35x7 compacted, Galvanised rope with a gross weight of over 300 Tonnes, which is also the heaviest rope ever produced in the United Kingdom. The rope is the first of a number of ropes that are being produced for an American customer who will utilise them on a deep water project in the Gulf of Mexico.
